1961
Push/Pull
|
In 1961 Stull Technologies
co-patented one of the first Push/Pull closures with one of the
world's leading drug company. The Push/Pull cap evolved over time
and is now a standard on many household products.

Twist Open/Close
|
In 1964 Stull Technologies
patented one of the first Twist Open/Close caps which revolutionized
product dispensing. Its consumer friendly design and revolutionary
dispensing style quickly spread, helping to create brand recognition
for producers of glue and yellow mustard. The Twist Open/Close cap
continued its success with other products in health and beauty aide,
household chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other specialty markets.

Vinegar Trap
|
In 1968 Stull Technologies
developed a method of separating unwanted vinegar from mustard.
The first vinegar trap was developed and patented by Stull which
was quickly incorporated into closures sold to the leading producer
of yellow mustard. To date no other method has been successful.

Eye Care Products
|
Stull Technologies has
supplied numerous pharmaceutical companies with a hinged dispensing
cap for eye care products for over twenty years. The closure has
evolved over time to the current design, but has remained the cap
of choice for the #1 producer of contact lens cleaners and other
eye care products.

Products Requiring
Child-Resistant Features
|
In 1971 Stull developed
its first child-resistant closure for cans. The fitment was designed
for use with charcoal lighter fluid and other products requiring
child-resistant features. In 1979 Stull continued to use its knowledge
of child-resistant packaging, working to design the first child-resistant
hinge cap for plastic bottles. The design has remained a standard
for over twenty years for all major packagers of charcoal lighter
fluid.
1982

1982
The liquid trap
|
In 1982 Stull Technologies
developed the first hinged cap for ketchup which also incorporated
a water barrier and liquid trap. The liquid trap was the first of
its kind used for ketchup. It collected the liquid that gathered
on the surface of the product while stored in the refrigerator.
Stull sold this design to two of the top three producers of Ketchup
for over twenty years.
The StullCONTROL
Valve Technology
 |
|
The
StullCONTROL Valve Technology
|
Another development from
Stull Technologies is the StullCONTROL Valve Technology. Stull
uses a soft injection molded dispensing valve to offer consumers
complete dispensing control. Stull's Valve Technology can be adapted
to a number of closures and used for a variety of applications to
eliminate the spills and mess while providing pin point dispensing
accuracy. The valve is pressure activated, dispensing as the consumer
squeezes the bottle, but as it automatically returns to its original
position the valve quickly shuts off the flow of product maintaining
a clean presentation after repeated use. The valve can be used with
both wet and dry products, and by using modern co-injection technologies
the piece price is affordable.
The StullSURE
Child Resistant Closure
 |
|
The
StullSURE CR Closure
|
Stull will launch a 28mm
415 and a 24mm 410 with the ability to add a perforated tamper evident
label. The label will be applied following the closing process at
Stull. Pulling a tab located on the front of the label will tear
away the center portion leaving a ring around the locking peg, indicating
the product has been previously opened. Following the flat top version,
Stull will launch the next generation StullSURE CR Closure
with a domed cover, as well as a version for cans. The StullSURE
CR Closure will immediately become the most appealing one-piece
child-resistant closure available today.
